A secret from the past in the frozen wastelands of Wisconsin

They do things differently across the pond… When former FBI agent Patrick Henderson reports an ‘X-Ray Sierra India’ incident, the operator has no idea what he's talking about. Henderson urges her to notify people higher and higher up the chain of command until someone takes the bait. That someone is Special Agent Kimberley Reynolds. She takes on the case and travels to snowy northern Wisconsin, only to find that half the town of Eloise, where Henderson lives, has been levelled by a tornado, and the former agent is nowhere to be found. And the strange occurrences don't stop there. Neighbours give testimony about unsettling things they've glimpsed, all while the heavy snow continues to fall, eventually cutting Eloise off from the rest of the world… As the clues increasingly point to one cold case—a case so cold it couldn't possibly be any colder, involving a cursed expedition into the frozen wastes—Reynolds sets off on a trail that stretches from America's terrifying past to horrors that survive to this day…
