Within reach of the waves

A few years ago, Billie left her home town of Emerald Bay and everyone she held dear behind her, convinced it was for the best. She needed to process the loss of her parents and the experiences and pain that came with it.

Since then, she has been travelling across Australia in her parents' van. But when her grandmother has an accident two years later, she doesn't hesitate for a moment and, with mixed feelings, returns home to support her until she recovers, planning to continue her journey afterwards.

But she quickly realises that a lot has changed since she left, and she begins to see Emerald Bay and the friends she abandoned in a new light. Suddenly, she feels good at home.

Then, just as suddenly, she comes face to face with Nathan, her first love, and the past finally catches up with her in full force. She has to decide: Where does she truly belong? Should she stay? And if so – will she and Nathan get a second chance, after she hurt him so much by leaving?
