Wolf
Investigator Marek Wolf returns to Montreal
When police investigator Marek Wolf left Canada and returned to Slovakia a year and a half ago, he was convinced that he had finally closed this chapter of his life. But then the unknown killer sends him a photo from the crime scene with the message: " Do you want to know the truth about your father? " You have to go back to Montreal." The underworld there was once ruled by mobster Anthony Rizzo. Those days are long gone, Rizzo is behind bars and his henchmen have scattered. Years later, old sins come to the surface and the killer' s list of victims grows. The murders seem unrelated at first glance, but Marek reveals that all the victims worked for an old mobster. What does his father have to do with all this, and what is the truth about him that only the killer knows? Wolf realizes he' s rushing into a trap, but he can' t help himself. He won' t stop until he uncovers the truth. But it could cost him his life.
It is published in translation by Ľubica Hricoviniová.
They wrote about the book:
In my opinion, Kozmon is one of the few Slovak authors who could compete with the world' s best. I really enjoyed reading The Wolf. The author paid attention to detail, the character of Mark Wolf is very likeable, and although the book lacks tension and brutality on every page, you won' t want to put it down. I recommend it with all my heart and I' m already looking forward to the sequel.
