Choosing a power supply
When choosing a suitable PC power supply, the key parameter besides the format is its power output. This indicates the maximum amount of Watts the PSU can continuously supply to the components in the computer. It is a good idea to use a web calculator to work out the optimal power output based on your chosen components.
Durability of the ASUS TUF GAMING 750B power supply
For reliable operation in demanding conditions, the power supply contains capacitors and chokes that have passed a series of tests according to military specifications. These tests include exposure to high temperatures and vibrations. The components thus demonstrate high resistance to physical stress and adverse operating conditions. The result is a consistent supply of power to key computer components, such as the processor and graphics card, even under prolonged load.
Cooling with Axial-tech technology
Heat is dissipated by a 135mm fan with an Axial-tech design, which uses a smaller hub to accommodate longer blades. These, along with a barrier ring, increase and direct air pressure onto the power supply's critical components. The fan uses dual ball bearings, which have up to twice the lifespan compared to sleeve bearing designs. This cooling system maintains low operating temperatures and contributes to a longer lifespan for the entire power supply.
PCB protection
The internal electronics are protected from external elements by a special protective coating applied to the printed circuit board (PCB). This conformal layer acts as a physical barrier that protects sensitive circuits from moisture and dust, thereby reducing the risk of short circuits. The protection works effectively even when exposed to high temperatures, which increases the reliability of the power supply in various operating environments.
Efficiency and stable power delivery
Japanese capacitors form the basis for efficient and reliable operation, confirmed by the 80 PLUS Bronze certification. This efficiency means less energy is lost as heat. The ASUS TUF GAMING 750B power supply supports the Dual EPS feature, which delivers stable voltage to modern multi-core processors via two separate 4+4-pin CPU connectors. This supports their full performance in gaming and demanding work applications.
Cabling and safety features of the power supply
This non-modular power supply has firmly attached cabling. The flexible, black-sleeved cables simplify routing and organisation inside the computer case, which contributes to better airflow. The safety of the build is ensured by a comprehensive set of features: voltage, current, and temperature control, along with systems against overload and short circuits.

80 Plus certification in the European market
The 80 Plus certification was created to objectively evaluate the efficiency of computer power supplies. This provides users with a simple and clear way to compare different models. On the European market (where 230V is used), there are six levels of 80 Plus certification, each with specific requirements for PC power supplies. Higher energy efficiency primarily means lower energy consumption.
| PC PSU load | Efficiency at 20% load | Efficiency at 50% load | Efficiency at 100% load |
|---|---|---|---|
| 80 PLUS | 82% | 85% | 82% |
| 80 PLUS Bronze | 85% | 88% | 85% |
| 80 PLUS Silver | 87% | 90% | 87% |
| 80 PLUS Gold | 90% | 92% | 89% |
| 80 PLUS Platinum | 92% | 94% | 90% |
| 80 PLUS Titanium | 94% | 96% | 94% |
