Powerful Intel Core 7 processor
The ten-core Intel Core 7 150U processor contains 2 performance cores and 8 efficient cores, processing up to 12 threads simultaneously. Under a heavy load, the processor's clock speed boosts to 5.4GHz, increasing calculation speed. The base frequency of the performance cores is 1.8GHz, while the efficient cores run at 1.2GHz. The processor's base power is 15W and its turbo power reaches 55W. The Smart Cache has a capacity of 12MB and the entire system uses an Intel SoC chipset.
Fast RAM
The computer contains 16GB of DDR5-SDRAM internal memory, configured in a dual-channel setup. The physical memory layout consists of two separate 8GB modules. These SO-DIMM memory slots operate at a frequency of 5600MHz, ensuring rapid data transfer when handling multitasking jobs. If needed, users can expand the total internal memory capacity up to 64GB via the two available slots.
Connectivity and Thunderbolt 4 interface
The front panel houses a Thunderbolt 4 interface that supports transfer speeds of up to 40Gb/s. This port also serves as a DisplayPort 1.4 in alternate mode, with 4K resolution at 60Hz. The setup includes four USB 10Gb/s Type-A ports for connecting peripheral devices. The rear side also carries one HDMI 2.1 port and one DisplayPort 1.4.
Network connection with the Cubi 5
The device uses Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) wireless connectivity with an Intel AX211 controller that operates in three bands. This wireless communication is complemented by Bluetooth version 5.3 technology for connecting accessories. A physical network connection is handled by two RJ-45 ports on the rear panel. These connectors support 2.5G and 1G LAN speeds, utilising Realtek RTL8125BG-CG and Realtek RTL8111H network controllers.
Energy efficiency and power management
The computer is powered by an external 65W AC adapter. The integrated Power Meter software tool measures current energy consumption and helps reduce total electricity running costs. Users can monitor estimated carbon emissions and environmental benefits directly in the MSI Center application. The manufacturer supplies this device in eco-friendly FSC-certified cardboard that uses 100% recyclable moulded pulp, and the manufacturing itself takes place in a factory with a 99% share of renewable energy.
Security features
The integrated hardware includes an fTPM version 2.0 security chip, which encrypts sensitive data and user access passwords. A built-in Kensington security lock slot provides physical protection against theft in the workplace. Active cooling maintains a stable operating temperature within the recommended range of 0 to 35°C, while storage temperatures range from -20 to 60°C. The computer successfully meets the strict MIL-STD-1916 durability and reliability standards.
