AMD is coming up with a new generation of desktop processors that will be sold again under the FX Series brand name but instead of the Bulldozer modules, they will offer the new Piledriver. Higher performance and probably lower consumption can be expected. All processors are designed for the popular AM3+ socket, where the CPU will be safe and sound.

Intelligent Frequency Control
If you do not use all of the processor cores, it automatically increases the working frequency to achieve excellent performance even for applications which do not use its full computational potential. In addition, the processor has a pair of turbo frequencies that can be switched, so they always reach the specified TDP upper limit.
Overclocking made easy
The processor supports DDR3 memory. It also works well with low-voltage modules. This model uses an intelligent memory controller to optimize the communication between each processor core and the memory module. If you like tuning your system, you will surely appreciate the unlocked multiplier of the fundamental frequency.
