Book of Paths - Around the Statues - Photography

The second part of a tetralogy that maps my endeavours in the artistic and literary fields over the last few years. As the title suggests, the book is composed of three parts. The sections of this book “Book of Journeys” and “Around Sculptures” are dedicated to photographs, and the remaining part is dedicated to photo-graphics. This contains mostly older pictures of this kind – you will find photo-graphics of cats, birds and bees, capturing various seasons, pictures dedicated to music and literature, spiced with melancholy and humour. In the “Book of Journeys”, among other things, there are short maxims accompanying the individual pictures. My main aim was to capture the fleeting poetics that move a person to set out on a journey at all. There is nature in the city – trees and parks, there are forests and quiet paths. On the whole, this part already leans towards the fourth volume, which I will dedicate to my texts. In fact, a kind of essay on my favourite topic was created (while I would call the first book “By Walking, by Night, by Dream” an essay of its kind, and an almost purely visual one at that). The answer to the question of why there are also sculptures in the middle chapter, alongside journeys, is simple. I collected so many of them in pictures in a relatively short time that I decided to create a separate chapter for them, which in the end is only missing the black and white “sculptural” pictures (which will be in the third volume, already fully dedicated to just photography). Moreover, some of my figures in the pictures resemble sculptures, and the best way to encounter sculptures is on a journey, which created a good transition between two such different parts.
