EATON UPS 9PX 3000i RT2U Li-Ion

EATON UPS 9PX 3000i RT2U Li-Ion
The EATON Li-Ion 9PX 3000i RT2U UPS operates with an online double-conversion topology, protecting critical infrastructure from all types of power failures. With an output power of 3000W (3000VA) and a power factor of 1.0, it powers modern server equipment and IT systems without compromise. The use of lithium-ion batteries fundamentally changes its operational parameters. Compared to traditional lead-acid batteries, they have a longer lifespan, reducing the total cost of ownership and the frequency of maintenance. This 2U rackmount UPS also operates in a wider temperature range. High efficiency of up to 98% in eco-mode and Energy Star certification confirm its low energy consumption. This 3000VA online UPS allows for flexible installation in a 19" data rack, where it takes up 2U of height, or as a standalone tower on the floor.
Key features of the EATON Li-Ion 9PX 3000i RT2U UPS
- Lithium-ion batteries extend lifespan and reduce maintenance needs
- Online double-conversion topology continuously filters power and regulates voltage and frequency
- Eco-mode operation reduces energy consumption and cooling costs
- Option to extend runtime by connecting up to four external battery modules
- Graphical LCD provides clear information about UPS status and measurements
- Energy consumption metering function monitors the load down to the level of outlet groups
Performance and online topology
This UPS uses an online double-conversion topology. The inverter continuously generates power for connected devices and filters out all anomalies from the input mains. The system constantly regulates voltage and frequency with an accuracy of ±1%. This protects sensitive electronics from overvoltage, undervoltage, and outages without any delay when switching to battery. An output power factor of 1.0 means that the apparent power of 3000VA corresponds to a real power of 3000W. In online mode, the UPS operates at 94% efficiency; in energy-saving eco-mode, the efficiency increases to up to 98%.
Batteries and runtime
The integrated lithium-ion batteries offer a longer lifespan and lower maintenance requirements compared to standard lead-acid batteries. At a full load of 3000W, they provide a runtime of 10.5 minutes; at half load, the runtime extends to 20.5 minutes. For applications requiring longer autonomy, you can connect up to four external battery modules (EBMs). Both the internal batteries and external modules are hot-swappable, so there is no need to interrupt the power supply to the protected devices. The battery management system includes protection against deep discharge.
Management and communication interface
The UPS includes a clear graphical LCD for management and status monitoring. It displays operational data and alarms, and measures energy consumption down to the level of individual outlet groups. For integration into IT infrastructure, it has a USB port (HID), a serial RS232 port, and a slot for optional communication cards, for example, to connect to an Ethernet network. It also includes potential-free contacts and a terminal block for remote control. Eaton Intelligent Power Manager and Protector software simplifies power management, automatic system shutdown, and integration into virtualisation platforms. A total of ten output sockets are available for connecting the load: eight IEC C13 and two IEC C19 types. These sockets are divided into two manageable groups that can be controlled independently for sequential load start-up or for disconnecting less critical equipment. The input connection is an IEC C20 connector.
