A switch is a functional network element connecting individual devices and other network elements. It is designed for managing network traffic. The Grandstream GWN7706 is made to be placed in a rack. The model has a switching capacity of 102,4 Gb/s. The Switch features 48 × RJ-45 ports that provide connection with network elements. 2 SFP connectors are there to transport data via optical fibers. 10/100/1000Base-T technology allows data transfer with a speed of up to 1000 Mbit/s. It features Dual Personality ports, notable for encompassing both the RJ-45 and SFP connector ; however, only one of them can be in use at a time. The switch dimensions are 200 × 440 × 44mm. QoS or Quality of Service technology ensures the switch doesn't get overloaded, and it also allows you to set up end station priority. The weight of the switch is 2800g.
