The HiLook IPC-B140HA bullet IP camera captures the monitored area in 2560 × 1440px resolution at a frame rate of 20fps, or in 1920 × 1080 resolution at up to 25fps. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use with an IP67 rating, the camera uses a 1/3" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor and a fixed lens with a 2.8mm focal length. Night monitoring is provided by hybrid lighting that combines infrared and white light with a range of up to 30m. It can be powered by a standard 12V DC network or via an Ethernet cable with PoE technology. Installation is made easy by the option of wall or ceiling mounting.
The 1/3" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor provides a 4Mpx image at up to 25 frames per second. The fixed lens with a 2.8mm focal length and F1.6 aperture offers a horizontal viewing angle of 98°, a vertical angle of 54°, and a screen size angle of 114°. For efficient data stream management, it uses modern H.265+ and H.264+ compression technologies, which significantly reduce storage space requirements while preserving detail. The maximum data rate is 8Mbps.
The camera uses intelligent hybrid illumination, which combines classic infrared light with a visible white LED light. In normal mode, it operates with an invisible IR illuminator with a wavelength of 850nm. When a breach is detected, it activates the integrated white LED spotlight. This step switches the image to full-colour mode and also serves as a light alarm to deter unwanted visitors. The range in both modes is 30,000mm.
The core of its intelligent surveillance is Motion Detection 2.0 technology, which focuses on recognising people and vehicles. The system filters out false alarms caused by leaves, rain, or small animals. In addition to general movement, the camera also detects tampering with the device itself. When an alarm is triggered, it sends instant notifications to a mobile phone or email address and can activate a light alarm using the built-in spotlight. The camera has a built-in microphone with an ambient noise filtering function that captures clear audio to accompany the video recording. Audio is recorded in real-time, expanding incident evaluation capabilities with an acoustic component. This gives users a complete overview of events in the monitored area, including speech or other nearby sounds.
The bullet-style construction meets the demanding requirements for outdoor use thanks to its IP67 rating, which provides resistance to dust and heavy rain. The device operates in a temperature range of -30°C to 60°C. During installation, the shooting direction can be manually adjusted within a range of 360° horizontally and 90° vertically. Power can be supplied via a classic 12V source or by using the convenient installation with the IEEE 802.3af PoE standard, where a single cable transmits both data and electrical energy. A single RJ-45 Ethernet port with a speed of 10/100Mbps and PoE support is used for network connection. The camera supports a wide range of network protocols, including ONVIF and RTSP for easy integration into third-party systems. Remote management and live viewing are provided by the HiLookVision mobile app and the iVMS-4200 program for Windows, iOS, and Android operating systems.
