In the matter of the murder

An innocent vagrant gets caught up in a game of cat and mouse

Two years ago, Miff Ferguson decided to say goodbye to his hectic lifestyle and has been living happily on the streets ever since. At least, that's how it's been until now. But everything is about to change as winter approaches. While searching for shelter, Miff discovers the body of a young woman in a dilapidated warehouse. He soon realises that he was spotted making his discovery and becomes entangled in a game of cat and mouse, forcing him to abandon his life as a vagrant and take refuge with his aunt and uncle in the countryside. Despite his efforts to hide, his troubles follow him, and when another body is discovered on a local farm, it's clear that Miff is in grave danger. Time is running out, and DCI Jess Campbell and DI Ian Carter must once again join forces with the police team in Bamford to find all the pieces of the puzzle before another innocent person loses their life.
