The Kensington VeriMark NFC+ USB-C Security Key is used to protect online accounts and logins without having to rely solely on a password. Simply plug it into a USB-C port or hold it against your device via NFC and confirm your login with a single touch. In practice, this means that when accessing services like your Google Account, Microsoft 365, company systems, GitHub, or when logging into applications like Teams or Zoom, it's not enough to just know the password—you need to have this key physically with you. The device uses multi-factor authentication (MFA), a combination of a password and a physical device, which significantly increases security. It also supports modern passwordless login (Passkeys), where you can log in using only the key without entering a password.
Certified FIDO2 Level 2 Security and FIDO CTAP 2.1 Protocol
The Kensington VeriMark NFC+ USB-C Security Key supports the FIDO CTAP 2.1 protocol and is backwards compatible with CTAP 2, enabling enhanced security features such as resident credentials, user verification, and cross-platform Passkey support. It also offers enterprise attestation, which verifies the authenticity of the device for secure access within an organisation.
VeriMark Software Suite
The Kensington VeriMark NFC+ USB-C Security Key works instantly without the need for drivers or software installation. For extended functionality, optional software is available (VeriMark Key Manager, VeriMark Access*, and VeriMark Companion), which provides additional features and integration options for businesses.
*Laptops with ARM processors are not currently supported by the VeriMark Access application. Not compatible with macOS.
