The Netgear EAX1 WiFi extender extends the range of your existing wireless network to areas with weak or no signal coverage. The device works as a dual-band extender in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. The device supports the WiFi 6 wireless standard for a stable and fast data connection throughout your home. The total wireless transmission speed is 1.8Gb/s. The extender uses four wireless streams and maintains backwards compatibility with older 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n, and 802.11ac standards for seamless connection of older devices.

Wi-Fi 6 standard
Wi-Fi 6 technology increases the capacity of connected devices on the wireless network and provides up to four times the performance compared to the older Wi-Fi 5 standard. The extender transmits data at a total speed of up to 1.8Gb/s, which is more than enough for demanding network operations. This means users can smoothly stream video in high 4K or 8K resolution while making video calls without any image stuttering. The design is suitable for smart homes with a high number of active wireless appliances.
Powerful processor and modern technology
At the heart of the device is a 1.5GHz quad-core processor that efficiently handles all network traffic. OFDMA and MU-MIMO technologies help to efficiently distribute data streams for multiple connected devices at once and prevent network congestion. Two integrated internal antennas broadcast a stable wireless signal in all directions, extending coverage even to the farthest corners of the building. The device can handle up to four separate data streams at the same time.

Setup in the Nighthawk app
The Nighthawk mobile app simplifies the initial installation and subsequent management of the entire network device in a few easy steps. The app works on mobile phones and tablets with Android and iOS operating systems. Directly on their phone, users can see a clear list of all connected end devices, run internet speed tests, or check the current status of the wireless network. Setting up the entire system takes just a few minutes.
Gigabit LAN port
On the body of the extender is one gigabit Ethernet port with auto-sensing technology for a reliable wired connection. The connector is used to connect a desktop computer, games console, smart TV, or other device without a wireless module. A wired connection offers a stable transfer speed without any external interference from other wireless networks in the house. A physical cable connection provides high speeds for demanding data transfers.
Router compatibility
The extender is fully compatible with all standard wireless routers and gateways available on the market. The device supports older wireless standards 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11ac, so you can connect older devices too. The design, in the form of a mains socket adapter, saves space on your desk or shelf. You can also use the integrated WPS hardware button for the Push 'N' Connect function to quickly pair it with your router.
