The Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black is a dual-tower CPU cooler with six heat pipes and a pair of NF-A15 fans. It builds on the design of the award-winning NH-D15, delivering high cooling efficiency while maintaining very quiet operation. The black finish on the heatsink and fans ensures a uniform look, making it easy to coordinate with various colour schemes. The cooler can be customised with optional NA-HC3 and NA-HC4 covers, as well as NA-SAVP3 anti-vibration pads in several shades. The included SecuFirm2™ mounting system and NT-H1 thermal paste complete the package, designed for users who demand long-term, high-level stable cooling.

Coordinated cooler construction and design
The NH-D15 chromax.black is based on the proven dual-tower architecture of the NH-D15, which is prized for its efficiency, reliability, and stable cooling performance. The entire design is a uniform black colour, including the fans, heatsink, mounting hardware, and anti-vibration pads. This makes it easy to integrate into dark-themed builds while remaining compatible with various colour schemes.
Improved airflow and cooling efficiency
The six heat pipes and dual-tower body offer an expanded surface area for heat transfer and more effective temperature distribution. Compared to the previous NH-D14 model, the fins are widened to 150mm and the heat pipes are spaced further apart, which promotes a more even heat distribution. Combined with two NF-A15 fans, this optimises airflow and increases the overall cooling efficiency not only for the processor but also for surrounding components on the motherboard.
Expanded socket compatibility
The SecuFirm2™ mounting system ensures a firm fit for the cooler on Intel LGA1851, LGA1700, LGA1200, and LGA115x platforms, as well as AMD AM4 and AM5. The package also includes offset mounting bars for AM5, which allow installation towards the south side of the socket, thereby improving contact in the CCD area. The cooler can also be used on selected older sockets with optional mounting kits.
Fan tuning and RAM clearance options
The fans support PWM control and can be supplemented with Low-Noise Adaptors, which reduce the maximum fan speed. If you are using high-profile RAM modules, a single-fan mode provides 66mm of clearance. In cases with sufficient headroom, the front fan can also be moved higher to make room for modules that exceed the standard height.
