Once upon a time - continued

Once Upon a Time - The Sequel is an extensive collection of new fairy tale stories inspired by the spirit and poetics of the classic work of Božena Němcová. Each fairy tale grows out of tradition but follows its own path. In lands full of springs, bridges, of bells, of forests and golden meadows, tales of courage unfold, humility, humanity and the power of common work.

The heroes of these tales are not only characters from ancient times, but also people who learn to protect the landscape, listen to each other and look for light where there seems to be darkness. Each story is separate, yet all together they form one big circle. A chronicle of how even the smallest act can change the world when done with good intentions.

This book is neither a rewrite nor an adaptation of the original work, but a new authorial continuation that pays tribute to the tradition of the Czech fairy tale and at the same time develops it towards the contemporary reader. It is for everyone, who believe, that fairy tales aren't just for kids, but for everyone, who wants to enter the world for a while, where goodness matters and where stories become bridges between people.
