SONOS Soundbar Practical Functions
If you prefer to use AirPlay, you can be happy to know that this soundbar supports it. The Sonos BEAM White can be added to a multiroom system, so you can play music in every corner of your home. It also has the practical ARC function, which only needs an HDMI cable to connect to a TV. You are also able to stream your favourite tunes. The soundbar supports Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Apple Music and Google Play Music. To easily change the volume or song, you can use the remote controller.
Active speakers have a custom built-in amplifier (typically a PC speakers). Conversely, passive systems require an external amplifier, from which the sound goes to each speaker.
The number of channels refers to the number of independent audio signals that can be reproduced simultaneously. An example might be 2-channel stereo sound, where each channel represents one ear (left and right), or 5.1 channel surround sound, which has five full channels (front left, center, front right, rear left, rear right) and one channel for the subwoofer.
