AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X
The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X Castle Peak CPU is a good choice for workstations designed for maximum performance. a good dose of processing power for all programs and computational operations, thanks to a clock speed. If need be, the CPU will automatically overclock to 4,5 GHz, further boosting the computer performance. The memory cache of the processor has a capacity of 128 MB in the case of an L3 cache and 16 MB for an L2 cache. The CPU utilises 7 nm production technology, which is why it ranks among the most modern chips available. The advantages of this CPU include a practical integrated graphics card.
- Supports overclocking thanks to the unlocked CPU multiplier
- The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X CPU includes 32 cores
- CPU maximum clock speed during automatic overclocking: 4,5 GHz

AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X CPU Overclocking Capabilities
The CPU uses automatic overclocking to effectively control both the power consumption and general processing load. If the processing requirements rise, the CPU will automatically raise the clock frequency to reach 4,5 GHz. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper Castle Peak CPU enables you to readily boost the base clock speed via manual overclocking as well. It features an unlocked multiplier for the purpose and can handle higher processing requirements. Keep in mind, however, that overclocking leads to a rise in TDP, which for the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X CPU makes 280 W.
What More Can the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X CPU Do?
The more demanding users will be thrilled by the Multi-threading support on the CPU as well, which lets every CPU core to work on several processes at the same time. The AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3970X CPU also includes virtualisation, which is a great feature to have. It allows you to simulate several virtual PCs on a single physical machine, for instance with the Citrix XenApp software.
