The Asustor Lockerstor 10 provides centralised network storage for saving, sharing, and backing up business data in continuous operation. This tower NAS server offers ten bays for 2.5" or 3.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs. The manufacturer has integrated advanced cooling components with heat pipes and fins to dissipate waste heat from the system parts. The device works with Btrfs and EXT4 file systems for internal drives and offers ten hot-swappable drive bays.
The system is powered by a quad-core AMD Ryzen V3C14 processor, which runs at a standard frequency of 2.3GHz. This x64 architecture processor with an integrated SoC delivers desktop-level performance while maintaining low power consumption. Under heavy data processing loads, the frequency automatically increases to up to 3.8GHz in Turbo mode, accelerating demanding tasks.
The basic configuration includes 16GB of DDR5 RAM with an operating frequency of 4800MHz. This server memory supports ECC error correction, which detects and removes data corruption caused by electromagnetic interference. The system includes two memory slots, which can be expanded to up to 64GB for the smooth running of multiple applications simultaneously.
The design includes four M.2 NVMe drive slots that use the fast PCIe 4.0 interface. This setup doubles the data throughput compared to the previous PCIe 3.0 generation. You can use the bays to configure standalone storage or to accelerate random input and output operations when accessing data.
Connectivity is expanded by two USB4 Type-C ports, which achieve transfer speeds of up to 40Gb/s per port. You can connect compatible USB4, Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 4 external storage to these interfaces. The fast transfers are complemented by another three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports with a speed of 10Gb/s for connecting peripherals.
Fast network communication is provided by two 10GbE Ethernet ports and two 5GbE Ethernet ports with Wake on LAN and Wake on WAN support. The combination of these four interfaces with Link Aggregation protocol support increases throughput or creates a backup connection in case one of the networks fails.
The ADM operating system provides support for TLS 1.3 hybrid encryption with the Kyber algorithm to protect network communication. This security method protects transmitted data from future decoding threats from quantum computers. Data security is further enhanced by a built-in firewall, the ADM Defender system, ClamAV antivirus, and the option to encrypt folders with AES-256 bit.
