ECG in First Contact: A Practical Guide for Doctors and Healthcare Professionals
ECG in First Contact is a practical book aimed primarily at general practitioners, general nurses, paramedics, and students of non-medical healthcare disciplines without in-depth knowledge of electrocardiography, who are very often alone when deciding on the next course of action based on an electrocardiographic examination. In this book, the reader will find information on the systematic and rapid examination of a patient according to the ABCDE concept, the procedure for correctly performing an ECG examination, and the basic aspects of the anatomy and physiology of the conduction system. The main theme of the book is the interpretation of an ECG recording in eight steps. The book is supplemented by numerous case studies that help the reader understand the issues of the individual clinical conditions presented in the book. The authors work very intensively with recommended procedures, to which they refer the reader when dealing with clinical conditions.
