In a thousand pieces

The Road to Recovery

After the loss of her beloved sister, Savana Litchfield is only living half a life. When her psychologist suggests she joins a round-the-world trip for grieving teenagers, she agrees, taking her sister's unread diary with her. Seventeen-year-old Cael Woods is full of anger. A year after losing his older brother, his life has spiralled out of control. Once one of the most promising players in the junior hockey league, he can't even get on the ice now. His parents arrange for him to go on the trip abroad, but he has no desire to go at all. On their travels, Cael and Savana find comfort in each other, their wounds slowly healing, and it seems that a love neither of them had hoped for is beginning to blossom between them.
