The Polk Monitor XT30 is a passive two-way centre speaker designed for home cinema and multi-channel audio setups. Its design is optimised for dialogue and mid-range reproduction with an emphasis on clarity and intelligibility of sound. The speaker operates in an extended frequency range up to 40kHz and is Hi-Res Audio certified. Connection is via speaker terminals and the device is intended for integration into systems with an AV receiver.
The Polk Monitor XT30 speaker uses a two-way design with one 1” Terylene dome tweeter and two 5.25” bi-laminate paper cone (Dynamic Balance) mid-bass drivers. The crossover frequency is set at 2,500Hz. The cabinet is equipped with a rear bass reflex port to support low frequencies and is designed with an emphasis on low resonance. The construction is suitable for use as a centre speaker in a home cinema.
The speaker is Hi-Res Audio certified and can reproduce frequencies up to 40kHz. The tweeter ensures detailed reproduction of high frequencies, while the mid-bass drivers provide clear and balanced dialogue delivery. The frequency response at -3dB is 77Hz to 26kHz. The sound performance is optimised for multi-channel setups including Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
The Polk Monitor XT30 speaker is equipped with a pair of gold-plated binding post speaker terminals for connection to an amplifier or AV receiver. The 4 Ohm impedance requires a compatible amplifier. The recommended amplifier power per channel is in the range of 30 to 200W. The speaker is supplied as a single unit intended for the centre channel of a home cinema.
