Maeve Abenthy hates her father, a scriptwriter who destroyed an entire world seven summers ago. There are only two worlds left and you can move between them. However, only the chosen few - the couriers of the Jindekde Post Office - are allowed to do this. Maeve's life is worthless - first the orphanage and then one escape after another, no home, no friends. But then she receives a lost letter from an "old friend" who claims her father is innocent and can prove the truth. Maeve has to track down the letter writer and the trail leads to the former Scriptomancy Academy, now the Jindekde Post Office.
