YALE smart cabinet lock

YALE smart cabinet lock
The YALE smart lock is used to secure internal drawers and cabinets against unauthorised access. You mount the lock on the inside of the furniture, so it remains completely hidden from outside view. It is powered by a single included CR2 battery. The lock protects stored medicines, alcohol, important documents, a laptop or sharp tools from children or flatmates. It can be installed on the inside of cabinet doors or on single and double drawers using the supplied mounting kit or adhesive tape.
Key Features of the YALE Smart Cabinet Lock
- Installation on the inside of furniture keeps the lock hidden from view
- Powered by a single CR2 battery, which is included in the package
- Remote control and cabinet status monitoring via the Yale Home mobile app
- Option to share permanent or temporary access with selected users
- Compatible with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa voice assistants
- The total weight of the device is 0.10kg
Control via the Yale Home App
The lock communicates with the Yale Home mobile app on your smartphone. The user can lock and unlock the cabinet remotely when connected to the Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge, which can be purchased separately. The app displays the current open or closed status of the furniture in real time. This gives users an overview of the cabinet's status, no matter where they are. The system supports managing multiple properties from a single user interface.
Secure Locking
You can mount the lock on the inside of cabinet doors or on single and double drawers. The auto-lock feature locks the drawer as soon as it is closed, protecting the contents inside. The system prevents children from accessing medicines, alcohol or sharp tools. You can activate the auto-lock function directly in the mobile app settings. The device is battery-operated, so it doesn't require the installation of power cables inside the furniture.
Access Rights Management
The administrator can share access to the locked space with other selected individuals. The administrator can set access rights as permanent or time-limited as needed. This feature makes it easy to manage access in rental properties, holiday accommodation or shared offices. The administrator sends invitations directly from the Yale Home mobile app to trusted individuals. This means users do not need physical keys to open protected drawers.
Real-Time Alerts
The system sends notifications directly to your mobile phone whenever there is a change in status. The user gets an immediate overview of every time the cabinet is unlocked or left open. These alerts help protect sensitive documents, laptops and valuables. The app will also send a warning if the door is left ajar. This allows the user to react immediately and secure the cabinet's contents.
Activity History
The mobile app stores a complete overview of lock usage, 24 hours a day. In the event log, users can look back to find the specific time and identity of the person who opened the lock. The activity history records every unlock in real time. This information helps you keep track of access to sensitive content without needing to be physically present. The app stores access history data directly in the Yale Home system.
Smart Lock Integration into Your Home
The device works with other elements of the Yale Smart Security ecosystem. When connected to Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa voice assistants, you can also control the lock with simple voice commands. You can manage the entire system from a single app, which also brings together smart cameras, alarms or door locks. Voice control requires a connection to the Yale Connect Wi-Fi Bridge. This integration simplifies the daily use of your smart home.
