The AXAGON EEM2-SD2 DISPLAY external enclosure with a USB 10Gbps interface is designed for M.2 NVMe or SATA SSD drives. A reliable connection to your computer is provided by the reversible USB-C connector on the enclosure. The package includes not only a USB-C -> USB-C cable to connect the enclosure to a computer, but also a USB-C -> USB-A adapter. This allows you to connect the enclosure to any available USB port on your laptop.
Display for a better overview of drive status
The enclosure is equipped with an advanced LED display that provides an immediate overview of your drive's status. It offers several display modes, including detection of the connected drive, file system in use, temperature, drive health, data transfer speed and operating hours. A detailed graph allows for real-time monitoring of the drive's temperature, while a sleep mode saves energy when idle. With this intelligent monitoring, you'll always have your drive under control—simply, clearly and efficiently.
Fast and practical
Thanks to the USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, the transfer speed is up to 10Gb/s. The external M.2 enclosure also supports other modern features such as UASP, TRIM and allows reading of S.M.A.R.T. information, which monitors the drive's status. A unique feature, thanks to the chipset used, is the ability to use both M.2 NVMe and SATA drives. So you don't have to worry about what type of M.2 drive you put into the enclosure. The enclosure can accommodate SSD cards in three different lengths—42, 60 and 80mm. The M.2 cards can be single-sided or double-sided, and the enclosure does not limit the capacity of the inserted SSD.
Easy drive swapping
The screwless opening of the enclosure makes installing and removing the M.2 SSD easy. Swapping drives is quick and easy, expanding the enclosure's potential uses for data migration, testing, and more. The outer metal shell has a grey finish with an elegant surface that prevents unwanted fingerprints. The aluminium body of the enclosure and the thermally conductive pad ensure ideal cooling for the inserted M.2 SSD. This extends its lifespan and also prevents the drive from slowing down, a phenomenon known as Thermal Throttling.

By inserting an M.2 SSD into this enclosure, you can easily create a fast, compact and versatile external drive that can be used not only with computers and laptops, but also with mobile phones and tablets.
